Anytime I get a quiet'ish period to myself, I eagerly look for a warm, well-lit cozy nook in my home to spend some time slowsew-ing.

Slowsew-ing (slow stitching) as an activity really helps to quieten my monkey mind, and the act of rhythmic hand-stitching on fabrics chosen for their textures and colours magically helps to soothe away any tension, nourishing my mental, emotional and physical wellness in different ways.

So I thought to myself: what about creating limited edition slowsew kits, for other people to share my favourite calming activity?!

Being part of a small creative group (a ‘circle’) can be profoundly uplifting and healing, in itself - and gathering together in ‘circles’ to stitch together has been a time-honoured tradition across the world for centuries.  No sewing experience is required: even the simplest of running stitches can be quite beautiful. Additional items you may like to have to hand when working with your kits: 
- a small pair of scissors, for snipping off threads
- sewing pins, to pin your fabrics together
- treasured fabric pieces, scraps, buttons, charms and other treasures that you feel drawn to using

Taking part in our creative arts and SlowSew activities offers you a gentle, fun way to help improve your wellbeing, gifting you a way to express yourself without needing to find the right words. They are a wonderful way to help lift loneliness and feelings of isolation: I host online retreats via Zoom to help those who may be housebound, or find it difficult or uncomfortable to attend in-person events.


Please kindly note: 

- all vintage fabric pieces have been freshly laundered, although they may retain a distinct vintage aroma when being handled

- the vintage pieces have been hand-cut, and sized to enable you to work on your piece by hand, without need of a bamboo frame. The largest piece of fabric in the kits will usually be around the size of an A4 piece of paper, unless otherwise detailed

- there may be some tiny holes, marks, or small worn patches in the fabrics in vintage kits
